Hello and welcome to My Mind Counselling.

My name is Jo and I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist working in the heart of Dorset currently offering counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy online and over the telephone.

Sometimes life can be tough and we face difficult situations, painful issues arise and relationships can be challenging or strained. In these times talking to someone else can help.

We may feel the need to seek counselling for all sorts of reasons, sometimes to talk things through with someone other than family and friends, sometimes it is to explore and find answers to a specific problem and sometimes we don’t know what is making us feel down.

Whatever the reason… if you are struggling mentally, emotionally, physically or within a relationship, counselling allows you the opportunity to look at the big picture and explore what is going on. Talking things through often helps to provide perspective and clarity. Counselling gives you the time and space to think things through, consider all your options and chose the path ahead that is right for you.

MAKING SENSE OF THINGS

If you are reading this, then maybe you are facing some challenging things that are difficult to cope with right now. Making sense of these challenges can feel confusing and overwhelming but counselling is a partnership where we work together to look at what is troubling you, to gain insight and perspective and find answers or make choices about the future.

I work in an open, empathetic, non-judgemental way and ultimately my goal is to help you work toward finding a more gentle, kind and happy way of being both with yourself and the world around you.
